Review : Lip Moisturiser Stains by Island Kiss - Flamingo Pink and Peonies, Black Rose and Grenade Rouge

Today's post is all about the two new variants of Lip Moisturisers by Island Kiss

I had done a Review Post on their other Lip Moisturisers some time back,

I loved the Packaging, Quality, Pigmentation, Everything!

Now, Island Kiss is launching two new Variants and I couldn't be more Happy!

So Today, lets review them!

The two new Variants are

Flamingo Pink and Peonies
and
Black Rose and Grenade Rouge

Packaging

Just like their other variants, I was not disappointed about the Packaging

The Box which holds the Product, has all necessary information clearly mentioned

The Ingredients, details like 100% Natural and Cruelty Free and even a Lip swatch of the shade is available on the Cover

So, not only is it good to look at, one glance gives all Information to the customer

They are Pocket and Travel Friendly in size

It is safe to say, Island Kiss continues to impress me!

Fragrance

Flamingo Pink and Peonies : has a Sweet Fragrance

Black Rose and Grenade Rouge : has a Minty Fragrance

Fragrance is Mild in nature, not at all bothersome

After application, you don't notice the Fragrance anymore

Colour

Flamingo Pink and Peonies

Just like its packaging, this one gives out a Peachy or Nude colour

Very mild and easily wearable everyday

A nice substitute to colourless Lip Balms

Black Rose and Grenade Rouge

Just like its name, this one gives out a Blackish Red tint

Pigmentation is Strong and Colour Pay off is Amazing!

Once you wear it, it becomes hard to tell if its a Lipstick or Lip gloss or Lip Tint

Island Kiss did a great job with this!

Quality

Just the fact that these Look so stylish, give good colour and are 100% Natural gives me immense satisfaction

At the end of the day, I don't have to worry about licking the product off and consuming chemicals

It gives a Tinted look to the Lips, making it look kinda Natural

The colour stays for around 3 to 4 hours for me

It gives a very Glossy finish to the Lips and Hydrates as well

Once, I had licked the Lip Balm off and it tasted Sweet

Very little quantity of product is enough for once, so the tube shall last for days!

For the Price, the quantity of the Product is good

People who don't mind Splurging on Lip Care should definitely go for this

Not only does it look super cute, has good pigmentation, 100% Natural and has SPF

It is a perfect for those in search of substitute for Lip gloss/ Lip Tint

If you can tinted Lips without the chemicals,

What more could a Girl want?

Also, for all the Men out there, this is a Perfect give you can surprise your Lady with!

There is a 100% Chance she might go gaga on this!

Review: Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream in Shade 08 with Swatches

Today I will Review the Infamous

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade 08

Miss Claire brand has been making huge noise in Indian market because it is very affordable, nice quality and perfect for people on a budget.

There are variety of Makeup products available like Foundation, Blush, Eyeliner etc

but

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream has made the most noise as it is a dupe of Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream.

So today I will Review it in Shade 08

It looks like this

Price: INR 150-225

Lets get to the Review then....

Packaging

Packaging is cute and Portable.
I say portable because, you can carry it very easily in purses, handbags, makeup-pouches etc
It comes in a Body, which is the colour of that particular shade and a Black cap which opens on rotating it.
The shade number is at the base of the lip cream.
It has an angled applicator, for easy application.

Quality

These are of fairly good quality for its price.
Its fragrance is very very pleasant and I LOVE IT.

It says on the body that "Its not lipstick, nor is it gloss, its nothing like you've ever experienced before" which is so so true!!
Its not firm like a lipstick nor is it watery, glossy like a lip gloss.
It is very smooth in texture but on applying it appears matte without making lips dry or cakey!!
This colour is super pigmented.
It is perfection in a bottle at affordable rate! and you feel AMAZING wearing it on your lips!!

I did not apply it very dark actually. It is appearing more violet here, actually it is corally pink colour as shown in hand - swatches

Staying Power

I conducted three tests on this Lip creams!!

Test 1: Wore it to college, whole day did nothing except drink water(carefully).When came back home and checked it out, it looked JUST like it had in the morning!!

Test 2: Wore it to college again and had an good meal, expected it be completely gone as food was kinda greasy.

Result: Just a little portion of my upper lip was missing lip cream, otherwise it looked just like it was in the morning!!

Test 3: Wore it out, had a meal, ate Ice cream.

Result: Half of the lip creams was gone...well nothing can stand in front of ice cream.

So what can you conclude from the above tests? Beside the fact that I love food?

The Staying power is AMAZING!!

Honestly, after using this product, If I use any lipstick which has poor staying power, I get so frustrated!! Because I have used the best!

Secret Super Power

So we know now why I love this product. But why do I love this Shade the most?
I have pigmented lips, my upper lips are tad bit darker than my lower lips.
I'm always on the look out for Lipsticks that cover up my pigmentation nicely.
Shade 08 does this perfectly. I can have pink lips without my dark lips showing!!
Also, you can tone the colour down for college etc by using less colour, it will still look great!!

This is how it looked when I applied less amount of product to college, darkness of lips is hidden!

PROS

Affordable, best for people on a budget.
Many beautiful colours available
High staying power.
This shade hides lip pigmentation
Gives a soft matte look without drying lips
Can be worn to College also
Handy, can be carried easily

CONS

There is no set price for them.
Not easily available.

Final thoughts

This is one of the best things that has launched.
The colours, pigmentation, price, staying power etc is a perfect combination
Every woman needs to have at least one of these lip creams!
You get a best quality product for 150 - 200 Rs

So, lets jump right into....

Yup, Today's review will be of the most popular Tropical Moisturisers by Island Kiss

Packaging

I squealed in my mind when I first saw the packaging cuz it is just soo cute!!

It comes in colourful rectangular shaped boxes where one side gives all information about the particular variant
Lip Moisturisers come in colourful tubes and have a slanted tip to apply the product on lips.
The packaging is so appealing that it is pleasure to pick it out of our little collection every day and use it.

Also for each variant we get these cute little rectangular shaped cards which just makes everything cuter.

One card, containing all details about the brand like website, social media pages etc also comes in a box that says Island Kiss.

Trust me, these products can definitely used for gifting a friend/ girlfriend/ Wife because the product quality + Super cute packaging is enough to make a woman happy :p

Fragrance

All three variants have a mild sweet smell with little difference between them.
After applying the Lip Moisturisers, milder fragrance remains for a while reminding you that you have worn it (and feel good about it).

Note

The first 5 to 7 times when I used the product, I found its texture very oily and the product gave a very glossy finish to lips.

Due to liquid-y nature, product never stayed on my lips properly....even leaked out of my lips once.

Also the colour on lips was very very light.

But later after some more use,the product became thick like a paste, and It felt more like a lip cream.

The colour of the Lip Moisturiser was much more stronger, especially for Puerto Berry Blush.

So I will be talking about my experience after the product felt like a lip cream.

Colour

Puerto Berry Blush: Gives a bright pink-ish red colour with a glossy finish to the lips.

Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender: Gives a light lavender, almost no colour to the lips. Acts as a normal colour-less Lip Moisturiser with a glossy finish.

Cherry Blossom Flores: Gives a very mild, cream colour to the lips. Since I have dark upper lips, this Lip Moisturisers does not suit me at all.

Quality

For the price, I feel the quantity of product is very good, the tubes are of medium size and hold good amount of product.

If I lick my lips after the product dried, I get a weird taste which honestly freaks me out.

These lip moisturisers give a glossy, shiny look to lips and it does take a while for that to go.

Even after the lip moisturiser has dried, the colour still remains on lips.

I have noticed that, even after eating, drinking and other stuff, at the end of the day lips do looks naturally coloured. I'm very happy with the product in that aspect.

Indoors

Outdoor, under natural sunlight

What I usually do is, after applying the lip moisturiser, I just dab a cloth over my lips once or twice.

This gives a very natural, very very very beautiful look to lips.

My mom asked me if had used lip scrub since my lips looked so good, and all my friends asked me if I had some home made remedy..

I had done this when I used Puerto Berry Blush on my lips

PROS

100% natural & Non-toxic
Super cute Packaging
Good quantity of product
Colour looks very natural on lips
Serves its purpose
Handy to use

CONS

Some may not like the glossy finish
Quite expensive compared to other similar products
Two of the three variants don't give much colour to lips
The oily, watery nature that I mentioned previously. It made me think that lip moisturiser itself was like that, which is not true. It can be miss leading.

Bottom line

For people who don't mind splurging on products, this is the Best option from my opinion.
The Packaging + Quantity of product + Quality of product adds up to a pleasant experience.

What do I hope from the brand?

I would love it if both Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender and Cherry Blossom Flores had more pigmentation in their colour.

It would be cool to have a lavender coloured Lip Moisturiser....I'm excited :p
